Artist Trading Coins (ATC) Guide: Creative Inspiration from the FabScraps Design Team

Image
Note from Tracy: This post is a beloved part of my crafty archives! While FabScraps has sadly closed its doors, I’ve kept this post live to celebrate the incredible artistry of the design team and to keep these Artist Trading Coin (ATC) ideas available for your inspiration. the entire sheet. You can use a 2.5-inch hole punch or a die (like I did). As many of you remember, we’ve tackled many paper challenges together—from inchies and moos to the classic Artist Trading Card. But the ATC (Artist Trading Coin) remains one of my favorite formats for stretching creativity in a small space! WARNING: Making these 2.5-inch mini masterpieces is highly addictive! To create these coins, I used a cover-weight cardstock base and colored them with Distress Oxides , finishing with archival black ink stamps. Using vintage-inspired papers and a 2-inch circle die, I layered the designs, adding faux stitching with a brown fine-tip marker and a few adhesive gems for sparkle. A small...

Pocket Letters: The Tiny Papercrafting Projects You’ll Fall in Love With

Pocket Letters: The Tiny Papercrafting Projects You’ll Fall in Love With Pinterest introduced me to pocket letters , and I have to admit—I was instantly hooked. The concept is deceptively simple: a plastic paper protector is divided into smaller pouches using a heat tool like the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool , and each little section becomes a tiny canvas for your creativity. You fill them with small ephemera, stickers, charms, and decorative papers, creating a pocket-sized world of wonder. And let me tell you, once you start, it’s hard to stop. I spent hours scrolling through Pinterest boards, pinning inspirational pocket letter ideas , and marveling at the sheer imagination that crafters bring to these little plastic pages. The combinations are endless—from vintage floral themes to whimsical cartoon-inspired layouts, and even travel memory pockets that preserve the essence of your favorite trips. It’s a wonderful way to express yourself, stay organized, and share joy with friends. I...

Vintage Layers & Textures: Memory Lane Layout with Fabscraps

Image
I was so excited to work with the beautiful floral paper line, Memory Lane, from Fabscraps . The soft, flowing colors make creating a spectacular layout a total snap. This layout features the Memory Lane design paper, coordinating chipboard, and their beautiful feather stencil. I absolutely love the way the feathers jump off the page! Using a stencil like this is one of my favorite ways to add that extra "oomph" and texture to a flat page.  Archive Note: This project was originally featured on the Fabscraps blog back in April 2018. While their site has changed over the years, the inspiration of these soft florals and stenciled textures remains a favorite in the MGT archives!                                                                             ...

Free Fitness Tracker for Planners

Image
Hey guys. One of the things I really need to focus on this year is being active. The long winter has made me feel lethargic and the lack of sunshine has made me lose all ambition to be doing any kind of excercise. I think we actually had two days when the sun shone this week so I felt motivated enough to make this tracker. I use the fitness planner from Happy Planner  but I wanted a tracker strictly for excercise. If you are interested in tracking your fitness, feel free to grab this free printable.

Love bookish lifestyle inspiration and Regency aesthetics? JOIN THE SECRET BOOK SOCIETY & GET YOUR REGENCY PLANNER Hello friends! Today, I'm looking back at a project that really shaped how I approach organization and creativity. If you’ve been following along, you know my love for Traveler's Notebooks (TNs) runs deep. They are so much more than just planners—they are flexible, portable sanctuaries for our thoughts, prayers, and art. In the video below, I’m sharing a flip-through of my Foxy Fix Botanical leather TN , which I dedicated specifically to my Illustrated Faith devotionals . This setup solved a major pain point for me: wanting to dive into my study and journaling while on the go without carrying a mountain of supplies. Why This System Works One of the best things about using a TN for devotionals is the portability . Resources for Cricut and Design Space

Image
This post contains affiliate links. All opinions are my own.  As a papercrafter I have purchased allot of tools over the years. It started with the decorative edge scissors put out by Fiskars and has continued on through 4 generations of Cricuts and numerous cutting tools. Over the years though I have passed many of my no longer used tools down to my daughter, a girls group, a women's shelter and some even found their way to Kijiji. I have found that I consistently prefer to work with my Cricut. Sometimes I miss announcements about new features until I watch one of Melody Lanes videos. That is how I discovered print and cut had been added. What a game changer. I came across this video which shows some of the features of design space (the software that works with your Cricut). This playlist goes through the many features of the software with easy to follow instructions. If you don't own a Cricut Machine yet, what are you waiting for? Shop Crict Ma...

If  you purchase through these links I will receive a small commission to help me maintain this blog. Well here we are. 2018 has begun. Was one of your resolutions to get a handle on your schedule? Last year I experimented with every type of planner around. I have decided that a travellers journal is my go to for my daily carry, however I can't add all the things I need to track in it without creating a very full, bulky journal. Additionally, there are allot of things that I don't necessarily want to be carrying outside of the house.  For these living documents that I am using at home daily, the Me and My Big Ideas Happy Planners are an ideal fit. I love being able to easily add and remove the pages that I am using such as recipes or medication lists. My Webster's Pages and Carpe Diem A5 plan ners are a perfect match for organizing all the clinical notes...
