A Fresh Start: My 20-Point Spring Bucket List

Spring is my absolute favorite season. There is something so restorative about the fresh air blowing through open windows and the intoxicating smell of the lilacs bursting into bloom. For me, spring is about the whole process of renewal—a fresh start for the heart and the home.

As a crafter, there are things we can do to give our studios a spring makeover. Remove any unused supplies and donate where possible. Declutter your tools—I promise you don't need five die-cutting machines! Spring is a great time to set goals to achieve. Without a roadmap, it's hard to find our way, and spring provides the perfect light to see clearly.

20 Things to Do in Spring

To get you started on your journey of renewal:

  1. Open Every Window: Let the winter dust blow away and breathe in the fresh start.
  2. Visit a Local Greenhouse: Surround yourself with green and find inspiration for your next project.
  3. Create Pressed Flower Bookmarks: Use the very first blooms of the season.
  4. Declutter Your Stash: Donate what you haven't touched in a year.
  5. Take Your TN to a Park: Spend a Sunday Reset session in the sunshine.
  6. Experiment with Flower Pounding: Try "stamping" with actual petals on cardstock.
  7. Buy Fresh Lilacs: Bring that signature spring scent into your studio.
  8. Write a Handwritten Letter: Use your favorite floral stationery and a wax seal.
  9. Mindful Birdwatching: Spend 10 minutes observing the birds returning to your garden.
  10. Refresh Your EDD List: Update your "Every Darn Day" tasks for the warmer weather.
  11. Start a Small Herb Garden: Even a windowsill pot of mint brings life to the kitchen.
  12. Picnic in the Backyard: A simple, sunny lunch to ground yourself.
  13. Document a "First": Journal about the first robin or the first bud you see.
  14. Try Botanical Stamping: Use leaves and stems as natural stamps with distress inks.
  15. Switch to Lighter Linens: Refresh your bedding or curtains for a brighter feel.
  16. Cozy Morning Air: Enjoy your morning drink on the porch or by an open window.
  17. Doodle Spring Florals: Fill a page in your notebook with simple line-art flowers.
  18. Bake Something Zesty: A lemon treat to celebrate the bright days ahead.
  19. Take a Sunset Walk: End a day of renewal by watching the light change.
  20. Set One Big Creative Goal: What do you want to finish by June?

I hope this list inspires you to find joy in the little things this season. Have fun and enjoy every moment of renewal!
