Meet the My Grandma's Teacups Design Team

I'm so happy to finally introduce the small group of talented creators who'll be spending the next several months bringing MGT printables to life in their own beautiful, hands-on way. Each of them applied, shared their work, and set out to create with our collections — and I couldn't be more excited to share what they've been making.

Here's a little about each of them, along with links to their blogs so you can follow along with everything they create this season.

Becky Conley

Becky is a native Mainer who recently started snowbirding to Florida for the winter. Her children and grandchildren are in Maine, and they keep her filled with adventure and joy every year from May to November. She's enjoyed creativity and art her whole life, drawing inspiration from nature and bold textures through mixed media, altered materials, and reclaimed or repurposed art supplies. These days, she loves creating simply for the love of it in her semi-retirement, and sharing the process of experimenting with new materials and techniques with other artists and creatives.

Her first project is already up — a gorgeous decoupaged wooden piece using our papers.

Elizabeth Kirby Hart

Elizabeth brings a background you might not expect from a papercrafter: years in government and politics, with experience in lobbying and public education. She holds a Master of Political Science from California Polytechnic University, a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University, and a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law, and spent her career working for the federal government before going on to lead a lobbying department in the private sector. These days, she and her husband are happily retired in Aiken, South Carolina — a small town big on arts and music — where she enjoys watercolor painting and teaches traditional Ukrainian Pysanky egg decorating.

Samantha Kennard

Samantha lives in Buckinghamshire, UK, where her main hobbies are reading — especially a good fantasy novel — and making handmade cards for friends and family. She's excited to join the team and hopes to inspire others with what she creates using our papers and imagery.
