Spring Forward: Refreshing My May Planning & Papercraft Favorites

It is so incredible to see some of my favorite memories from 2015 and 2016 resurfacing lately! Looking back at those May archives, I’m reminded of why I started My Grandma's Teacups in the first place—the love of tactile paper, the peace of a well-organized planner, and that unmistakable "Grandma-core" warmth that makes a house a home.

As we head into April and May 2026, I’ve been thinking about how my creative process has evolved. While the heart of my journaling remains the same, my tools and techniques have grown right along with me.

What’s Trending in My Spring Basket This Year:

• Vintage Botanical Junk Journals: There’s something about May flowers that demands tea-stained paper and floral ephemera. I’m revisiting some of my favorite layouts from years past and giving them a fresh 2026 twist.
• Intentional Planning: Back in 2016, I was all about the "busy." Today, my planning is more about wellness and finding white space. It’s about solving the pain point of "over-scheduling" and replacing it with creative soul-care.
• The Joy of Reading: I’m currently diving into some beautiful Regency romances that pair perfectly with a quiet afternoon of papercrafting.
